History
The Para Hills Cricket Club was established in 1964 and call Para Hills Oval home in the City of Salisbury.
The club joined the Adelaide Turf Cricket Association in 1971-72 season in the A8 Grade which saw the club defeat Woodville High on 2nd innings to win the Grade A8 Gold Section competition captained by Bob Jones. Para Hills 120 (D. Noonan 41) & 7/151 (G. Fishlock 46, E. Kirby 29, G. Bennetts 27) def. Woodville 175 (D. Noonan 3/20, R. Cox 3/39) & 92 (G. Bennetts 3/24). P. Kleinig won the Batting trophy with a total of 639 @ 45.6 with a highest score of 120. G. Bennetts (13/34) and R. Cox (12/7) both picked up 10 Wickets or more in a match throughout that season. R. Cox with unbeliveable figures of 7/4 and 5/3!
Since the clubs admission into ATCA the club has been fortunate to have a few Australian Test Cricketers play at the Club in Terry Jenner and Greg Blewett. We have 19 Senior Premierships to our name. The most recent Premiership was in the 2020/21 Season for the Club's A Grade (A1) side which saw the club's first ever A1 Premiership in a comprehensive 9 wicket victory over Flinders Park. We also have 14 Junior Premierships and most notably the 4 Premierships in a row from 2019 - 2023 with the same core group of players. Finally, we were the inaugural winners of the Adelaide Inclusive League in 2023 which was captained by Tim Bihet and coached by Jaban Somerville.

2019 saw the retirement of club legend Peter Box who achieved 392 games for the club with 619 wickets and 10,134 runs. A magnificient acheivement by Boxy over the many yeasrs at Para Hills Cricket Club who holds the record for most wickets and runs in the clubs history. In addition, Travis Wordsworth holds the record for the highest club score of 203* in 2015-16 which is the only double century the club has in the Adelaide Turf Cricket Association. Travis is also the only Para Hills player to be awarded the A1 Player of the Year (2017-18).
In 2023, the Para Hills Cricket Club were awarded the SACA Community Cricket Club of the Year for its fantastic contribution to providing opportunites for everyone to participate in cricket and for outstanding governance through the initiation of the club's 2022-26 Strategic Plan.
